Photoshoots at Christmas

We were blessed over the holidays to have all of the family home for Christmas. My older sister and her husband live in Alberta and one of my brothers in Saskatchewan so we were happy that they were able to made it home! When Michelle found out they would be coming home she said she wanted to make sure to get some portraits done of her and our younger sisters while she was here. So we went out to the beach (my most favorite winter photoshoot location!) in Goderich and had some fun with the camera. We did all kinds of "sister" photos as well as some portraits of Kevin and Michelle. Here are my favorite shots from the day:

I absolutely love going to the beach in the winter (sounds wierd?) it makes
for some very cool backgrounds and surroundings! Now if only we would
have gotten some real Canadian winter weather before this shoot it would
have been perfect. But there were some ice covered (more like slush covered
with the warm weather we've had) rocks that worked out awesome for us!
I love this look!

We (or maybe just I) try to make a point of making sure to get pictures of everyone as often as I can (or in other words as often as they will let me), but especially when Michelle comes home because she doesn't get the chance to get home as often as we would like. So here are some sister shots

It really wasn't as icy as it looks

This is a very cool tree I spotted right away when we got
on the beach. We just had to use it!

We didn't use the lake as much as I would normally, but the water wasn't at all frozen up and snow just wasnt there like it normally would be this time of year! But the frozen and snow covered rocks did it for me, they did look pretty neat!

Some snow in the air for this photoshoot would have made my day, and maybe brightened up the skies a little for these photos, but overall it was a great day!

Stay tuned for another winter beach post to come later (when we get winter)
